Do you struggle with anxiety, stress, racing thoughts, low motivation, or loss? Are you facing a significant life transition and feel like you need to be at your best? It is okay to ask for help. You don’t have to go through this alone. My specialty is helping you break down those thoughts that are causing you anxiety, anger or just holding you back from being your best. When you learn to recognize your thoughts and change what you are saying to yourself you begin to heal. We will work at your pace to uncover your underlying dialogue. Past events need not dictate or determine your future. I will show you how to break away from past events, thoughts or emotions that are holding you back. You will start to feel better quickly and with practice you will take the driver’s seat in your life.
Each counseling session progressively builds from the prior one.
Chronic worrying and racing thoughts are exhausting. Understanding your inner dialogue is how we learn what is causing your anxiety. Changing your inner dialogue is the process of restructuring your foundation and challenging those beliefs that are holding you back. A new healthy inner dialogue will be both motivating and give you strength and confidence. We will work on mindfulness and stress relief, and you will feel the difference.
Having anger does not make you a bad person. But when it is interfering with your relationships, you need help. The anger comes from what you are saying to yourself in response to events around you. Like anxiety, we will work on your triggers, inner dialogue and restructure your foundation. As you change your belief system and practice stress relief techniques you will feel the difference. And the people around you will notice it as well.
Grief and loss are natural responses to events in our life. It ebbs and flows over time as our body and mind process the loss. Sometimes we are grieving an impending death of a loved one, and it is just as devastating as the actual loss. When it becomes overwhelming, you need help. I provide a safe space to let you express yourself. Through lived experience of loss of a spouse, a sibling and both parents, I can also offer perspective on the healing process. We will look at your strengths, your support system, and you can begin to heal.
Feeling like you put off tasks too often and it is causing more stress in your life? Do you recognize that you are increasingly not meeting your goals? Do you self-sabotage or not even try because of fear of failure? I will help you discover your inner dialogue that may be holding you back. It may be past events that are affecting you or it may be your mood. We will uncover your inner dialogue and change it to a more adaptive dialogue that will help you meet your goals.
Are you considering or actually facing a new chapter in your life and feel like you are not fully prepared? Whether you are transitioning from college to the workforce, facing a career change, or any other significant change in your life, your insecurities and anxiety may be affecting you. We will work on your goals and what may be holding you back. This is a strengths-based approach to help you have the confidence and skills to take that next step.
